Welcome to Florida's Space Coast
Brevard County, otherwise known as the Space Coast, is located in the east-central area of Florida. Nestled in the middle of Osceola, Orange, and Indian River Counties, Brevard County, Florida's second largest, is home to Kennedy Space Center and some of the most beautiful beaches along the Atlantic.
Due to its location, Brevard County also is only a 60-mile drive to Orlando attractions such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and International Drive. With its space-age technology, beautiful beaches, and terrific tourist destinations, the Space Coast is where the world lifts off.

Modern explorers soar into space aboard the shuttle. Disney World characters prance about only an hour's drive away. And America's pastime brings myriad delights during spring training baseball games at Space Coast Stadium. The Space Coast -- that's what folks call our 72-mile-long, 1,019-square-mile county of about 510,000 people that truly is like no other place in the United States. After all, where else can you witness the launch of a space shuttle with alligators watching?
